Brad Hines single “Hooked on
the Bottle” has broken into the Top 20 on the Texas
Music Chart by landing at the number twenty spot on this
weeks chart. Congrats go out to Brad for all of his hard

Willie Stradlin Band releases New Single
Arkansas
based Willie Stradlin Band has released their new single
“Sweet Melissa” to Texas Radio. Unlike the
title suggests, this is not a remake of the Allman Brothers
Classic. Listen for it on a radio station new you. You
can also hear it on our home page on the Cabin Creek Juke
Box.

2010 Lone Star Music Awards
Cabin Creek Promotions will sponsor
the second annual Lone Star Music Awards. This year the
awards will be held on Sunday March 21st at Gruene Hall.
Gates will open at 7:00 and admission is free. Slated
for this years show; Charlie Robison, Sean McConnell and
Matt King with others to be announced. Come on out and

Creeks present Mike McClure with onion at “Onion”
debut.

Cabin Creek
was at John T. Floores Country Store Saturday night, July
18th for the release of Mike McClure’s “Onion”
album. To commemorate the evening, Dorothea and Laura
presented Mike with the Official Onion Release Party Mascot.
The ‘onion’ was prominently displayed on Mike’s
Orange amp through out the show. Mike later moved the
mascot to the merch table and it appeared on his myspace
site the next day. The sentimental evening just brought
tears to our eyes.

Stradlin brings “Chop Away” to Cabin Creek

Willie Stradlin
is a Southern Rock/Country band from Northwest Arkansas.
They have been together since late 2005. They are heavily
influenced by the Texas/Oklahoma Red Dirt scene, and bring
to the genre their own brand of rowdy southern Rock ‘n'
Roll.
Their new
single “Chop Away” is the follow up to “Ain’t
That Right”. Produced by Travis Linville and Mike
McClure who also provides the Harmonica intro. Chop Away
was written by Izzy Stradlin of Guns and Roses and Rick
Richards of the Georgia Satellites.

Dorothea Ivey’s feet met up with Mike McClure’s
feet Friday April 17th at Floores Country Store in Helotes,
TX and instantly began to “Dance like an
Idiot”. The show was the best yet, and
the feet just could not contain themselves. It looks like
they both strive to put their best foot forward.

James Lann has added Cabin Creek Promotions to his team
to promote his latest single, “Honky Tonk Two Step
Queen.” to radio. HTTSQ as he likes to call it is
a follow up to his extremely successful hit “You’re
from the Country Too” that reached #6 on The Texas
Music Chart and #5 on the TRRR along with being in the
top 30 Most Played Songs of 2008. “Honky Tonk Two
Step Queen” is the second single released from James’
CD, FORD. When asked how he felt about the addition of
Cabin Creek Promotions James replied, “We are excited

Richie Allbright will start a radio tour on Tuesday, February
10th in Corpus Christi for his latest release; “You

tour. He will be traveling across the state for the next

Awards
On March
29th, 2009 at 7 pm at Gruene Hall, Lone Star Music will
announce the winners and hand out the hardware for the
first time ever as they kick off a new annual awards show
focused on recognizing the excellent music put out by
artists of the Texas and Red Dirt Music scene. Sponsored
by Ziegenbock and Radio Free Texas, these awards are presented
in conjunction with the ten year anniversary of LoneStarMusic.com
and the 5 year anniversary for the Lone Star Music store,
located just a block from Gruene Hall.
The ceremony
will include spotlight performances from Brandon Jenkins,
Randy Rogers and Brady Black, Rodney Parker. The Tejas
Brothers and a closing set by Wade Bowen. The ceremony
admission is free.
