Brad Hines new single, “Please Don’t Push Me Down” has entered the Texas Music Chart at #48 and the Texas Regional Radio Report at #49. Expect to see this single climb to the top of the charts as quickly as his last release, “Hooked on the Bottle.” September 6, 2010 Don’t blink because The Kat Moore Band’s “Married Thing” is on its way. Her latest single is Bubbling Under on the Texas Music Chart @ #57 July 20, 2009 Cabin Creek was at John T. Floores Country Store Saturday night, July 18th for the release of Mike McClure’s “Onion” album. To commemorate the evening, Dorothea and Laura presented Mike with the Official Onion Release Party Mascot. The ‘onion’ was prominently displayed on Mike’s Orange amp through out the show. Mike later moved the mascot to the merch table and it appeared on his myspace site the next day. The sentimental evening just brought tears to our eyes. July 13, 2009 Willie Stradlin is a Southern Rock/Country band from Northwest Arkansas. They have been together since late 2005. They are heavily influenced by the Texas/Oklahoma Red Dirt scene, and bring to the genre their own brand of rowdy southern Rock ‘n' Roll. Their new single “Chop Away” is the follow up to “Ain’t That Right”. Produced by Travis Linville and Mike McClure who also provides the Harmonica intro. Chop Away was written by Izzy Stradlin of Guns and Roses and Rick Richards of the Georgia Satellites.

Clint Martin at Coupland Dancehall
We made the long drive Saturday to the Coupland Inn and Dance Hall to see Clint Martin perform. On the way I had the good fortune to hear a rough cut of Clint’s new album due out very soon and I can tell you this, rough or not, I liked what I heard. A very good mix of music for a long country drive. Once there I found a big old wooden dance hall, the stage at the back with a big Texas Flag and a sprawling dance floor in front. Clint took the stage and in the blink of an eye, the dance floor was full. He sounded better than I can remember and judging by the reaction of the crowd, they felt the same. He played some favorites like “West Side of the Tracks”, “Old Time Old #7 Whiskey” and his most recent single, “The Lady She Is. Then he offered up a few new songs from the new album. They were very well received by the crowd and I could hear cheering for a couple that I recognized from my drive up. My advice, go see Clint Martin when you can, good music and a good feeling is sure to be found. He’ll be back at the Coupland Inn and Dance Hall on March 4. Keep your eyes out for Clint’s new single titled…hold on a minute, not quite, it hasn’t been decided yet and after listening to all of the choices on my cross country tour, this decision will not be an easy one. Way too many good songs fill this CD. So keep your radio tuned to Texas Music or check out Clint’s website and we will let you know as soon as the song is picked.

Cabin Creek Promotions was one of many proud sponsors of Demented Cycles “Ridin for a Reason” charity bike ride and concert to benefit the American Cancer Society. The event began with a bike ride from Gruene Harley Davidson to Luckenbach Texas where the concert would take place. A pre-ride show at Gruene Harley Davidson featured Willie and Cody Braun of Reckless Kelly and Wade Bowen. The bikes arrived at Luckenbach at approximately 3:15 pm. Midnight River Choir was well into their set when the magical sound of one hundred plus bikes roared on the scene. Next to hit the stage, Micky and Gary Braun of Micky and the Motorcars did an acoustic set, followed by Texas Legend, Jimmy LaFave. As the crowd slowly grew, Chris Night and his band took the stage. The show ended when Stoney Larue and his band cranked it up for almost two hours. It was a great time for a great cause. See pictures from Ridin' for a Reason on our facebook page.
