Laura Ivey, a recent graduate of Texas State University with a degree in Business Marketing has joined the staff of Cabin Creek Promotions. Laura, an avid guitar player
has always listed music as her first love. Early classic rock is her preferred choice, but she listens to and appreciates all genres of music. Laura, who calls Austin home, comes
to Cabin Creek to help launch our first venture into the world of Americana music. Laura’s goals will be the same you have come to find at Cabin Creek Promotions, to create a partnership with Americana musicians and help them realize their dreams of watching their songs climb the Americana music charts.
Cabin Creek Promotions, one of the leaders in Texas Music Promotion is branching out to the Americana genre and will begin promoting artists to the Americana music charts. Dorothea says, “We’ve had so many fantastic Americana artists contact us that don’t necessarily fit the Texas Music Charts sound, but deserve to be heard, that it makes sense to offer a promotional service that will help them realize their dreams as well.” Cabin Creek’s success with Texas Music artists like James Lann, 4 back to back #1 singles in row, Clint Martin and Paul Nunn, both fixtures on the charts and many more make this a perfect fit.
The debut single for the Jason Helm’s band is “Where you wanna go”. This upbeat song spells out the story of a relationship facing the daily pressures of life and the only way out is to get away. So, “Where you wanna go,” will find the best place to be is at the top of the charts.
The Charlie Lucas band is back at Cabin Creek and back on their way up the charts with their latest single, “Not the girl she used to be”, is another smooth song the likes that we’ve come to expect from this band from Houston. She may not be the girl she used to be, but The Charlie Lucas Band is exactly as we remembered them…great.

Stuck in traffic in Houston, a horseshoe welded to the bumper of a truck in front of you; does this mean good luck is coming your way? Well it is if you are listening to Mike’s latest release from his album Fifty Billion. This catchy tune will have you singing along, even if the chorus proves a tongue twister. Listen for this one as it eludes the traffic jam and races up the charts.
